rou.blue – Rou Sommermann

A nest box from long lasting organic materials. It’s shape is optimized to be mounted to a tree trunk. The round-ish shape blends in and disrupts at the same time in a natural environment.

In this quick game a robot arm is equipped with a depth camera. It’s hooked up to a computer with a machine learning program tracking faces. I you can’t hide in time the robot will find and dazzle you. The last person un-dazzled wins!

Misty is a social robot. In this experiment Misty was programmed with three different personalities. By user testing the personalities were investigated. The experiments showed how and by what factors the personality change was perceived.

A paper/cardboard origami installation supersized. Completely unfolded it measures around 5 by 2 meters. When folded it shrinks to 2 meters in length and just a few centimeters in width. It’s hung up and can be moved by the wind or by pulling the ropes.
